The first step is to determine the size of the case you will be building. To do this, you should not only consider the items that you want to display, but also the area of the wall you plan to mount the cabinet on. Next, head on to any hardware store and purchase a do-it-yourself kit for building trophy cases. This kit should already contain the hardware as well as the blueprints that would be necessary for assembling it.

Next, analyse the instructions that are detailed on the blueprints and put the cabinet parts together accordingly. Further, consider replacing the regular glass of the casing with special UV-filtered glass. This is to protect the interiors as well as the items inside from the harmful rays of the sun. Additionally, line the insides of your case with acid-free blotter paper in order to prevent any acid contained in the wood to transfer onto your memorabilia. Finally, secure the cabinet with enough screws to firmly anchor it on the wall. Now you have built your very own trophy case where you can display all the proofs of your prowess in MMA!
